A Pick Up...

I picked up my pastel pencils a couple of nights ago. I love to paint on black paper so that's what I started to do. I have this gorgeous picture of ballet slippers. I'll play along on this one until I like it. It was good to pick up my pastels and feel them in my hands. I'll share a peak at this one when it's done!

Missing Artist Missing Art

Life takes lots of twists and turns; mine way too many lately. With my oldest son heading to college in a few weeks and a hurting economy, I'm having to work more as a nurse. Those hours are going up and painting time is going down! And, I am missing what the creative process does to the brain--escape! Creativity is going to have to come in a different form, as in how to find time to paint. Despite this complaining, please forgive me, I have completed a few painting in the past few months. Here's a sampling....

Where Have I Been??

Where have I been? Wow it has been a few months since I have been at blogspot! The holidays, a surgery, travel, a senior in high school searching for a college...but I'm back on track for now. Applications are being filled out and sent in for spring art shows. Right now, you can find my work online at Richeson75.com in the Pastels Competition.
